12″ Cylon Centurion
This figure will reportedly have standardized aesthetic-minded articulation. The figureâs forearms will be interchangeable with turret guns. A lenticular function will be utilized to depict the Cylonâs characteristic probing red eye. The reimagined Cylon Centurion manages to suggest peripheral images of inexorable Gort from The Day The Earth Stood Still while simultaneously looking Terminator-like—piston-driven and cruelly modernized in contrast to the chrome-limned museum-grade Cylons from the 1978/1980 show. The figure looks to be given a slightly battle-weathered metal finish. A little blunter and more straightforward than their insinuating humanoid Cylon counterparts, the Centurions are metal juggernauts equipped with onboard weaponry. Silent and emotionless, their limited intelligence seems mostly constrained to military application. As a whole, the Cylons, initially developed by humans as either slave stock or surrogate soldiers, gained self-awareness and unsurprisingly rebelled against their creators, which triggered an apocalyptic war between both factions. Eventually, in the wake of grave devastation on both fronts, the Cylons vanished, only to return decades later in a vast superior force, eradicating a large percentage of their human opponents at the outset of a new long term campaign.

Interesting design. I don’t get to watch the new Battlestar Galactica, but I like the old design more than the new.
